Digging To China

We were going to dig to China, My twin and I. We were eight. We dug out a ditch all day long, Throwing the bricks along the bank. Arguing about what we would do first When we got there. It rained all night. The digging was easier now. And the mud ran up our legs. Best day ever!

Fondest memories ever! … Just wondering: Did you see/meet any of the 'starving people' (whom) my mother assured me live there? ~ Waiting pensively for another of my bubbles to be burst, gw

We could not have had the same mother because my mother told us the starving people lived on the other side of town. We were forced to give dolls to them, and the next day their heads were lying in the street.
