Digging To China
We were going to dig to China,
My twin and I.
We were eight.
We dug out a ditch all day long,
Throwing the bricks along the bank.
Arguing about what we would do first
When we got there.
It rained all night.
The digging was easier now.
And the mud ran up our legs.
Best day ever!
