Did You Hear That
In the cacophony of life of strife and joy
I like to be with me for a longing while
when in mind I find a congruent companion,
a lonesome me enjoys to converse with.
We talk about the journeys I’ve taken,
the destinations reached or unreached.
The dreams I dreamt, broken or realized,
how in the tempest my ship wrecked
and why I now swim in the sea of turmoil,
its elusive shore in dismay I don’t see at all.
On a sleepless night shrouded by a spell of solitude
I heard the sound of silence resonating from within,
the serene voice of the soul saying,
“life is beautiful, be happy”.
Did you hear that, I asked me.
