Did We Help Or Encourage

We didn’t start the fire we yell. But did we do anything to sooth those left burning? To help those trying to escape? To encourage those who did start it to stop lighting fires? Although we did not start it, we are guilty too. Because we could have done something Yet we sat by Waiting for others To do what we could have done but did not do. We did not start the fire! We yell. Thinking that is enough. Knowing it is not. Feeling ashamed As we should be.

Well-written message. I could not help but think of our silence in the matter of firearms. Yes, we are guilty to some degree for every unnecessary killing by someone wielding an automatic rifle meant for the battlefield...because we have not worked hard enough to get them out of the hands of sick and irresponsible thugs!

I think it is so sad what is happening - incredibly sad.
