Depression Engraved, My 'sweet Boy' Is Gone
Disillusioned is my soul from watching him die,
in my arms he lay perished, eyes open-
Disheartened soul,
sorrow engraved.
Spiritual torment resounds in hollowed grief-
His ashes rest in a brown wooden box,
his name etched in gold; my “sweet boy” is gone.
My desolation comes from missing his soft fur.
Will there ever be a moment
when his death does not make me weep?
Scar on my heart,
beautiful pug.
