Declaration
I am here in solidarity with the earth
Where mothers die
And babies cry
And forest burns
Longing for the affection of birth
I am to tell power
I am the invincible truth
I am no visitor
In this place, in this world
The great legislator
Say it is my right
To belong in the full dignity
Of a valued humanity
We are the legacy of the world
Love brings no flowers here
So when I ask you
To give me your hand
Do not fawn at this marriage
For battle
For change is inevitable
But regrettable
In what makes a man less
Than a man is supposed to be.
I am here to write
Nothing personal
Just the condemnation of a cruel
History
I want to tear it up
Like paper
And make bonfires
Of old
And rising empires.
