Hi Jim, this is an excellent Limerick! What could be taken as an affront is someone finding fault with it. I'm reminded of these thoughts: “Stop judging that you may not be judged" AND... "Why, then, do you look at the straw in your brother’s eye but do not notice the rafter in your own eye?" And there's this... "If you have anything nice to say...

Thanks, Lin. I'm certainly not offended by Tom's comment. I appreciate any and all comments on my work...as long as they are constructively critical.

Well done Jim! I’m not sure what we would do without Having Tommy and his moral compass to keep us all in check.

Thanks, Mark. I don't honestly believe that I have ever written anything "immoral" in my life...and I certainly don't consider this little ditty to be so. I don't think Tom does either...hopefully.

Well, life has some serious decisions for sure and that would be a very serious one for the person to make. I have heard that people who do that are still not happy with their identity. Thanks for sharing this one and it reads like a good contender to me for the contest. Way to go. Sara

People need to lighten up about limerick humor. I notice today that comics are afraid to do "sensitive" topics, but a true stand up has no limits for his comedy, as long as he uses equal insensitivity for all! I miss the days of brutal humor. today's comic sees nothing wrong in insulting those of us who denied taking the covid jab, so they are not so PC as they think they are.

I agree, Andrea. I never aspire to insult or otherwise injure anyone with my humor.

Thanks, Ilene. Even some controversial subjects can have some humorous elements, I believe.

I know this is intended as harmless fun, but it might be taken as an affront to those who are suffering. Something to consider my friend

People should not be offended by limericks. No harm intended, I am sure.

Harmless fun, indeed, Tom, and I'm sorry if anyone is offended. Thanks for the insight.
