December Spring Thaw

It is December Last evening it snowed Coating all the ground Now it is winter As the morning ends A change is in the air It begins to rain All the snow melted This is a Spring thaw The weather gets warm No more snow is seen Mud and brown grass Squirrels can find nuts They hid in the ground While the white fluff Remains in the snow clouds

Darlene, your oem is so very clear! It brought back images of my days in the Midwest. I was one who longed for Spring. I left the Midwest and moved west..I love the weather here. But clearly recall the beauty of the snow on a moonlit night. We have our seasons, too. Even had a hail storm. I had to go outside and tocuc it...awesome! Loved your poem, Panagiota

Hi Darlene, Sounds so cozy - I can see all this happening through wooden cottage panes that are still a little frosted and have snow on the sills. Well done, Poetry hugs, Jennifer.
