"The seasons of all things hold much in store-
for life brings death-
which brings new life once more." _by Poet.
Before my window, on this winter day,
I see the dead, cold landscape spreading far
in stages of this season's own decay-
with muddied snow and blackened ice which are
now shielding winter sleep beneath the scar
upon what was once grass of velvet green
with lush and lovely trees to fill the scene;
now morphing, waiting as decay to rise
in beauty once again, brand new, pristine-
below the bright and sunny, springtime skies.
