Death of Days

from the death of days I’ll scavenge few memories welcome amnesia’s embrace too long have I fed on yesterday’s rank carcass gorging its opiate flesh now the past is bones and this vulture of lost time circles in tomorrow’s sky

WOW! Bernard, such a sad and desperate write of the ravages of addiction, past, present and future. Powerfully presented with strong and emotional imagery, this is a seriously intriguing and compelling write my friend! Excellent and enjoyed!

Thank you, Susan! When I started writing this one, I didn't really know where it was going, to be honest. You know how it is. Sometimes a single phrase grabs you and you decide to just write it out and let it reveal all of itself. I hope you think it ended up okay :)
