Death
Death
I know of you
I know your name
I got your message
You want a relationship
Am I ready for you?
You love surprises and are a mystery to many
You have had your relationships with many so I have heard your stories,
How you come and take and give
Not in equal proportions I know that
How you weigh where to give more and where to take more is unknown
Though for many the scales not fair
I have had many no strings attached relationships
But your terms are on a permanent basis
You have called me a couple of times
And I have refused to take your call
You are greedy and have already made your declaration
That in one way or another you will have me
I hate the fact I have heard the rumours and that true they might hold
That you have even set fourth our date and made all arrangements
And I have no say and have to keep our appointment.
I hate the fact that you call yourself the greatest equalizer
And that you will brand me like a slave
Many that you have had or know of your existence are afraid
Of your Dominance and the helplessness that you bring
That is what is wrong with this relationship the terms
Now the wool has fallen from my eyes
And exposed you are, a pretender to the throne
You know not what you do
You claimed that you are the beginning and the end
You were just the end on this side.
For I knew a truth that holds true and was hidden from you
For you have taken me at face value and in your pride
Had your vision skewed and did not see your castle collapse
For I was a king in waiting and you did not know
I was purchased for and my debt was paid
Your end is now here for my Father’s kingdom has now come
See the only thing I needed to do was prepare
For Death I ask where is your sting.
The Dominion is mine,
Get off my throne you pretender
And kneel before your King.
