Dear Santa, it has been such a long time,
since I wrote to you- hope you recall me;
still love the doll you left under the tree,
yes, still have her and she is still sublime.
I know you are busy with Christmas stuff,
Santa, I have been sick and I am scared;
and I am not sure I can be repaired,
waiting for the results has been so rough.
Do not care about gifts- but have a wish,
my wish for Christmas is for the answer;
for my doctor to tell me - no cancer,
and if I hear those words it will be bliss.
I have prayed to the Lord about all this,
and know he will be with me whatever;
holding my hand and letting go never,
oh, bring my wish 'cause I fear the abyss.
