Dear Heavenly Father
I write this letter with heart full of joy,
soon we celebrate the birth of your Son.
Mary the child's Mother chosen by You,
to carry and nurture Him, boy to man.
Joseph was a good husband and father,
raising their boy with strength wisdom and grace.
Jesus studied to learn His Father's will,
journeying to teach of faith and belief.
Sweet Jesus, sent for earthly salvation,
to reveal the truth, the way and the light.
He did you proud, of that there's no doubting,
sadly things have deteriorated.

Lord this is my Christmas wish list prayer,
and it's for everyone across the world.
My hopes and my dreams all tied up in one
depending on You to make things better.
This has been a trying year as You know,
Covid has distanced family and friends.
People have been ill, many have lost life,
please help to get things from bad back to good.
We've seem so much hatred and blood shedding
is there some way You could stop viciousness.
I'm asking You to boost the love You give,
enter it into hearts of the sinners.
On a brighter note, thank You dear Father
for all the jubilation Christmas brings.
We will rejoice and sing out our praises
in thanks for the Son you gave, us to save.
Amen!
