Dear Father, Hear My Prayer
Inspired by these lines: “Father, I stretch my hands to thee. No other help I know.”
from the hymn of Charles Wesley: "Father, I Stretch My Hands to Thee"
My Father, to whom everything I owe -
I come to you today with gratitude
for past gifts and those gifts you still bestow.
I need you so; Dear Father, hear my prayer.
I look up to the Heavens and I pray
for healing of my body and my soul.
Please grant me strength to get through every day.
I need you so; Dear Father, hear my prayer.
There is no one who knows so well my pain
as your Dear Son who suffered for us all.
Your grace I seek ever and again.
I need you so; Dear Father, hear my prayer.
With faith, hope and humility I speak.
Although I’m undeserving, my Dear LORD,
please fill my soul. Your sweet relief I seek.
I need you so; Dear Father, hear my prayer.
