Dear Child

(Dedication: For my grandson Axel Caleb) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your curious eyes Seek to wander, Curious strange sighs As you wonder. Touch prompts fond feel Just for a while, Your curious will Fronts easy smile. Curious hands reach For things to grab, Ply each to each As touch unwraps. Sight tells on you As cause prompts find, In all you do Dear infant mind. Taste is a way For you to learn, Each day grooms play With space you yearn. A certain will Now fashions zest, Your touch and feel Moves ample fest. You seem to know In curious looks, A lavish glow In your play book. You love your food Dear winsome face, Each touch feels good In your own space. You bring new light To show us how, Warm gift of sight Streams clear right now. As you giggle In your sweet charm, Our hearts wriggle Love's cuddling arms. Joy is your face In charming touch, A touch of grace You trace as such. Curious and wild With pleasant feel, We love you child As feelings thrill. Leon Enriquez 25 March 2019 Singapore
