Deafening Silence

Devoted to those poor lost souls. I'm bombarded with a deafening silence As I sit here alone in my room Thinking of how my life might have been Encased in this dark dismal tomb I once had it all or so I had thought I walked with a confident air But fate intervened and changed everything I'm now travelling this road of despair My closest friend is this bottle of whiskey The relief I get from the pain Of a lifetime of utter sadness and sorrow When I dream we're together again If only my words could convince you my love But they just seem so hollow and trite It appears so hopelessly futile to me As I lay awake lamenting each night So I guess I'll go back to my bottle of booze And the only true friend I've had I'll think of how things might have been Bombarded by thoughts so sad © Jack Ellison 2013

I'm so surprised to see this from you! But it's a great change of pace, methinks. I don't think it is possible for anyone to only feel one emotion through out their day... they creep around into your life one way or another. Though this is very tragic you so easily placed me in your shoes and bid me to walk around a bit... always writing with your HEART and not your MIND.

Thank you for your concern dear Abigale. This wasn't autobiographical but could have very well been autobiographical if Cathie hadn't happened along! You are sweet... thanks bunches! Hugs, Jack xox

This is quite a departure Jack. Very impactful coming from you. It could easily have been me as well, so thankful this is not my life or yours Jack.

Could definitely have been me if Cathie hadn't happened just after my first wife Linda passed away! There are turning points in every life... this was mine and I can honestly say I'm now the happiest I've ever been! Thanks for dropping by my friend!

This could very easily had been me I think, although I'm not absolutely sure. However, that's all water under the bridge, (another damn cliche! LOL) and I have my dear sweet Cathie to kiss goodnight!

Although this is not autobiographical, I'm sure that you in particular, know everyone has another side. I do my best to keep it hidden but every once in a while, something triggers it! Check out my Attila the Hun if you haven't already... the other Jack has returned! LOL

Very well could have been if it wasn't for my dear sweetie, Cathie, who saved my life from going into the toilet! Some of us live a charmed life! Big huggeroonies, Jack xxx
