A Nightingale sings of Dawn's glory,
twittering its praises at first light.
And ebony shadows fade to shade,
as they lose the protection of night.
The sun rises from a scarlet shroud,
draping itself in a golden hue.
And rising above Earth's crimson rim,
light paints the sky a robin-egg-blue.
Blood tints the clouds cotton candy pink
as the heart of night's pierced by Dawn.
And as color gets fully restored
dewdrops sprinkle glitter on the lawn.
Birds, butterflies, and bumblebees flex
their wings as sunbeams warm the ground.
And that cacophony greets the sun,
slowly filling the morning with sound.
