~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Night’s curtain falls, stars fade away,
Releasing dreams, keeping sorrows at bay,
But with dawn’s first light, so meek and mild,
Comes the promise, for every man, woman, and child.
Past’s shadows may linger, long and deep,
Yet with sunrise, a new oath to keep,
To step into light, to embrace the day,
And let yesterday’s ghosts, simply sway.
