Dark Love

Dark love Love is love Love is like a dark chocolate It’s sweet yet bitter The pleasure, the taste is short-lived So as the essence and the remedy of pain But still you crave for it It’s the evil-disease sent by hell but People mistake it as a blessing of heaven Love is love It’s like a glass of beer It tastes horrible but You drink it to gulp down all your fears, sadness and failures Love is like that You fall in the trap To escape from the cruel reality Knowing that it will hurt you next day You still swallow it to make yourself unconscious of your pains Love is love Love is like drug You are addicted to it You will go die unless you get it But still you chose this path This path of following your heart They say, ‘Heart never betrays’ But when I chose a villain to conquer my heart o’er a hero They said, ‘kill her; she is a traitor to herself.’ ~ Black Rose

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God bless you.
