Dark Angel
Images flickering in the candle light,
Shadows flash across the night sky,
I feel the air all around start to rumble
And the strong smell of sulphur from above me tumble
And I knew it was the dark angel flying again
And I knew that her presence will signal pain,
As the darkness settled forever and a day,
So I pleaded with the dark angel to fly, fly away
And she cast a look at me of such dismay,
Then she laughed as she incited war again
And did this with an arrogant disdain,
So I shone my light to give hope to all that day
And faced down the dark angel saying face to face,
It's time to fly dark angel, fly away,
But we need to this time and time if we're ever to see better days
Make that dark angel fly, fly away.
