Daring, Defying

just daring, defying gravity, bluish-pinkish fish, about three feet long, mocks the violent current of the gurgling creek that has just cascaded down from craggy ledges, watery steps of a giant stairway, forming a series of three ten-foot waterfalls . . . and it shatters turbulent surface, leaps out, up the face of the first cascade and, within seconds, splashes out and up again, hurdling the second, and then, hurtling like a skyward spear, at long last conquering the third by sheer will, daring, defying gravity . . .
