Dangerous Path

The road is covered with thin ice water Producing a sheen and a reflection The air I breathe could not have been better The night is dim for my destination Only the cool moon shines slyly about Producing a sheen and a reflection There is a little bit of fear and doubt Not knowing the house that’s nearby is warm Only the cool moon shines slyly about I don’t know if my path is free from harm The ice, will it make me fall, slip or slide Not knowing the house that’s nearby is warm Aura of the land makes me want to hide The clouds begin to cover the moon’s eye The ice, will it make me fall, slip or slide I walk on by, leaving this land I sigh The road is covered with thin ice water The clouds begin to cover the moon’s eye The air I breathe could not have been better Russell Sivey

Russell...So many emotions and reflections and a decision still somewhat saddened by reflections! 7 Deeper than Lake Tahoe. Thanks for the brilliant work! My best, chuck

I hope that there is a dark or slippery path that you have to tread..Enjoyed reading your work..Thanks for the visit to my page..I saw Canada Geese again today..Three or four separate flocks or one huge flock that was getting separated because of the wispy clouds up there..They were really honking and carrying on and were not in formation like they were disorganized..It was so nice out that I did about an hour of yard work..Sara

Wow, some yard work...We could only wish, we have still 10 inches of snow and it's 28 degrees out!

Russell, A magnificent write. I love the thin ice analogy. We never know if our path is free from harm, but we also forget that there is a safe warm house nearby called faith in God. Love the imagery and senses in the poem too, it has a very shiny and slick feel, like the ice. Thank you for sharing.
