Daily Prayer 10-17-2020

By Dana Redricks Dear Heavenly Father, when I think about how things were in the beginning before sin entered the world I realize how destructive sin is, and how sin separates us from you. You are a Holy God who cannot be in the presence of sin for You are a consuming fire, and we wouldn't be able to be in Your presence in our sinful state and live. I thank you for sending Jesus Christ into the world to redeem us from our sins, and become a living sacrifice to restore the relationship humanity had lost with you through Adam and Eve. Lord you have something for us and you want us to be where you are in your Holy presence. When I remember the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis, I realize how You have so much more for me than I could ever dream. I could never begin to phantom what heaven will be like. In the end we will have a new heaven and a new earth. Until then help me to stay focused on You and seek out those to share the Good News of the Gospel, and the love you have for us. Lord let Your Holy Spirit speak through me giving me the right words to say to everyone I encounter, help me to be a light representing Your kingdom, Lord let me not be a stumbling block to others but help me to reach out to other people who are hurting and in need of a Savior. Lord, I pray for those who are in need that You will meet those needs. Lord whenever I'm feeling doubtful, confused, or, lonely, and unjustly treated to always remember that You are always there for me. You are a faithful, loving God. You are my defender, You are my deliverer, and my all and all. I pray that I will always allow You to do Your work and that I will not interfere with Your good plans for me. Thank You my loving Heavenly Father. In Jesus' name I pray, amen (so be it) shalom. Gods People
