Daily Mirror In London
DAILY MIRROR IN LONDON
St. Brides church, delicate
Wedding cake built by Wren, *
Reflected in Daily Express building, monstrous
Glass and steel box,
Built by no-one-cares-who.
But the box at least has the grace
To show us two wedding cakes,
And like a mirror it has no existence
Other than the reflections
It offers us every day.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
* Sir Christopher Wren, designer of many fine
buildings in London, including St. Paul's Cathedral.
