4/23/2024 for To the Tune of Cruella DeVil Poetry Contest sponsored by Natasha L Scragg

(To be sung to the tune of "Cruella DeVil from Disney's 101 Dalmations) Dadella DeVil, Dadella DeVil If he don't make you laugh, no funny thing will I think of him, and now I'm laughing still Dadella, Dadella You'll wait for him to come home from work until  You see your Dadella DeVil   At first you think Dadella's kind of nutty He might pick you and to twirl you aroun' But just when you think, for him you are quite ready He'll change it up and turn you upside down  This crazy man, this lighthearted guy I'll never forget him to the day I die When Dad came home, it sure gave me a thrill Dadella, Dadella DeVil

Thanks, Krish, it was fun to remember and write out - first time I tried to match an existing song.

Hello David. Huge congrats on your trophy win. I found your song endearing. I appreciate the way you looked beyond the name "DeVil" and made your song a happy memory of fun with your dad. Well Done! Lovely sentiments.

...and also, thanks for having this contest. It was a lot of fun, and the first time I ever tried writing words to a song.

Would this be sung to the theme song of 101 Dalmatians? You've written some really cute lyrics for the poetry contest, David. I'm quite sure the judge will love it; however, good luck. Thanks for inviting me to read, and all the best...Hugs

Thanks Maria, yep, it's supposed to be sung to 101 Dalmations. I had to Google the song. I never saw the movie, but when I was a kid, I remember we had the soundtrack, though I couldn't remember the song.
