Daddy's Girl

I remember feeling like a queen, Sitting on your lap. Listening to you sing to me, As your foot would gently tap. I remember how you’d close your eyes, As you sang a sad, sad song. And how you’d wink and smile at me, When I’d try and sing along. I remember listening as you played, Guitar for hours on end. And dreaming someday I could play, Like you my dad, my friend. This so very nice, Brenda. Lovely and perfect rhyme as well, which I so enjoy. I did not have a very nice father, I am afraid and it always touches my heart to read a tribute to one who loved his children!
