Daddy's Girl

Dearest held me when I was just a babe, with hands so big and worn. Always taking responsibility from the day that I was born. Difficult was the work to give us food and a roof above our heads. Daddy gave us coats and shoes and toys and a nice warm comfy bed ... You gave us one thing that was the most, each day without complaint. Serving your love and understanding on a never ending plate. Girls think their dads are the best, but I for sure can say, I know you are the best. Number one in my heart you will stay. Rendering always the dearest to me; even when we are apart. Love you dad for being you and giving me a start. Product of a collaboration of Robert Pettit and Sally Smith
