Curiosity's Danger

From darkness lights rise as bright hues paint night spectrums, dancing eerily. Alaskan visitors gasp; sights they long to see appear. Unaware they are of impending disaster. Earth’s slightest tremor crushes through icy capsules, casting glaciers on tourists. Aurora remains, though none are left to view it. Victims’ curiosity leads to death by avalanche as nature overpowers.

Interesting thoughts penned in this one..There is always that possibility that if one gets close that the ice could melt and do its own thing..Creative work..Thanks for stopping by..It is going to be a spring like day today..Sara

Hi, Carolyn. A grim forecast indeed. Seems like the weather is going in that direction. Hope you are doing well. I keep thinking spring is just around the corner, but it is such a long, long block. Lots of love, daver

I was lucky enough to witness the Northern Lights by plane at a safe distance. It is a breathtaking sight to behold. Your poem makes people aware of the dangers that are often hidden. A beautiful Tanka Carolyn! 7

Enjoyed all three tankas, Carolyn. The first one attracts by its imagery; the second heralds and delivers disaster; the last one reaches a climax that shows nature to be a graceful giver but a cruel master. A top rating to you. You're back with a flourish!! hugs // paul
