Oh, curiosity, You mischievous sibling of wonder, How many times you have left the main street of Rationality to venture into the back streets of blind speculation That, eventually, led you in the dark alleys of confusion, I would never know, For that A stern warning I must give you: Beware of the dead-end streets of the occult that lie in your way For Once you enter there, your adventurous self, risks a prisoner of Bewilderment forever to remain! © Demetrios Trifiatis 13 June 2021

My mother used to warn us that to hang out with friends from school who were too wild wouldn't serve a good purpose because our good habits wouldn't rub off on them, their bad habits would rub off on us. Good job here. God Bless, JB

Happy Sunday Demetrios, So many poems rich in allegory this day. Leaving deep meaning lost in 'dark alleys of confusion ~~ dead-end streets of the occult.' Did you purposefully leave the title misspelled, only to spell it correctly in the opening stanza? -Richard

Richard, my dearest friend. It would have been a good idea to misspell the title so to make the reader curious but unfortunately, it was a typo. Thank you so much for indicating my mistake. God bless you!

Wonderful verse, Demetrios. I particularly liked "dead-end streets of the occult that lie in your way." Good way to describe their disastrous clutches.

Mankind in his quest for knowledge often ignores the warnings that are before him, but we're a curious species and slow to learn. Plenty to think about in your verse Demetrios, Tom
