Crystal Creek
Crystal Creek in Fall calls to me.
Emblazoned Maples joyfully surround me.
An azure sky looks down upon me,
As God's creatures scurry 'round,
Preparing for the months of Winter.
The cooler air seems to engender,
All their energies to tender,
Stocking up and making sound,
All their burrows and their beds,
Where they'll lay their little heads,
And new born young will first be fed,
When Spring time lifts her veil.
All Nature now is gaily dressed,
All the fields are amply blessed,
And I feel an honored guest,
At our Father's table.
I love to walk the wood and hills.
It's always given me a thrill.
I always have and always will,
As long as I am able;
For it's here that I belong.
This place gives my heart it's song,
And as long as it flows on,
I'll return to Crystal Creek.
