but really somewhat a surprise
the secret of how much you love someone
are hidden in the eye's

Yes the eyes are loves meter if you know how to read them in states other than just full blown love. What really hurts is when they show you that love is dieing and the mouth won't tell you why. Huggs TLee

Sweet friend, you have had so many struggles in the past year and are always in my prayers. I still have that photo of you with the dog. Very provocative last two lines. Gives us a lot to ponder. Beautiful write, John! Love, Carolyn

Hi John, such a hurt in this, it is very painful to lose what you love and sometimes it feels like healing is so far away. Also I've found replacements are never the same.

John, so sorry I misunderstood your comment. I get confrontational comments from other poets once in a while about my christian beliefs. I try to respond with respect. You are so right, Jesus did prove it Easter morning! Happy Easter to you, Rhonda :)

May God comfort you ad you grieve. These are beautiful heartfelt lines. Thank you for commenting on my Easter poem. As far as proving it, I find I cannot prove something to someone who does not want to believe. If your mind is open to considering it, you may want to read Lee Strobel, A Case for Christ and others. If not, I only ask for respect on this site from you and I will give the same to you. Enjoy your day Blessings, Rhonda
