This looks like a variety that I have and it has bloomed this late in the season..Sara
The last Clematis bloom holds one petal Soon this flower will be gone disappeared Cross-roads of existence so it would seem Winter will come all green will turn to brown But underneath surface lying dormant A root_a seed waits for the warm sun's call "Come forth my love, for the winter is past" "The rain is over_gone_ flowers appear" Not directly quoted from "Song Of Solomon"....

I loved this poem Sara! The reference to the Clematis is a clever part of this write!! The overall tone can be a quandary, but keeps hope alive!! Brilliant work!!
