Crimson Thoughts

Pure thoughts and untouched She floats into the room He glances at her smile She looks away too soon He looks her way again to breathe within her soul She's not aware of his stare but she feels his warmth from the cold Pure white thoughts turns to red Crimson thoughts unsaid God, pray for me and I pray to you Keep me pure, save me through She looks up To catch her breath They lock eyes She sees red The glances throughout the night From across the room Without any words His touch can't come too soon Pure white thoughts turns to red Crimson thoughts unsaid God, pray for me and I pray to you Keep me pure, save me through Perfect strangers to one another But a familiarity of some kind He feels it, she feels it Both have racing minds The heat grows within They both want to explode He makes his way toward her Hearts, bodies, souls unfold Pure white thoughts turns to red Crimson thoughts unsaid God, pray for me and I pray to you Keep me pure, save me through She doesn't stand a chance Of staying pure He smiles with uncertainty He stands tall and sure He gazes into her eyes and soul She feels exposed and free He takes her hand Her heart is set to flee Pure white thoughts turns to red Crimson thoughts unsaid God, pray for me and I pray to you Keep me pure, save me through

N B I found this an intriguing entry as it pitted the heat against the firewall of angst. the eternal battle between purity and passion.
