Cricket's Song

Summer's eve, sitting on the porch The breeze soft upon my cheek The crickets sing their song to me My own Plein air symphony Mesmerized by the sound they make Sweet moments of quiet bliss Barbara Gorelick 1/16/15 Night Creatures Contest

This is a lovely winning poem, Barbara. In the countryside, where I live, we used to get lots of them, but recently their numbers have dwindled, and that's a shame....they do make music together! #7 // paul

I love the sound of the cricket's song in the summertime, and I enjoyed your poem just as much. A lovely entry for the contest! Good luck to you, Barbara!... This reminded me of an old poem of mine titled "Serenity".

Enjoyed this one immensely my friend. I especially love the night sounds in summer out in the rural areas where one call hear quite clearly the many sounds of Nature. Super 7 on this fine poem..
