My life changed when I got lost in a book
It gave me reason to dream big
Books gave me a creative nook
A lover of words was my new gig

Free from a prison with clear bars

Imagination was no longer dormant

My librarian was a trusted informant

I was free to soar high in the sky

Prior to books, I’d just sit and cry

Splendid Pantoum my friend Alexis, once I have a book in my hands i cannot put it down, the same with poetry, i get excited about writing it, having researched it, drafted it and re-edited it, i'm finally fine with it and after, I have asked Elias to read it, I finally post it. Reading fellow poets poetry has become so important to me, and I go back into their history and old poems they have written. Be well Alexis Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.
