Hello, sweet brown eyed girl
I'm that guy with the blues
Can't disguise, locked in eyes
Think I might be crazy about you

Give a subtle hint of a smile
So fast I'll be across this floor
Buy you a drink, we'll dance
Later, I'll walk you out the door

Wow, you're lit up like the sun
Giving me a look that I can't fight
All my life I've dreamed of this
I can't wait, until we kiss.. tonight

That's when he passed by me
Strutting slowly over to you...

Girl, those sweet brown eyes
You never even saw these blues
Pure fantasy to hold you in my arms
Across the room, all your charms
They were never mine to lose
It looks like I'll be alone tonight

Be walking home, all alone.. tonight
I'm that crazy guy with the blues

Yeah, I'm the guy with the blues
Going crazy behind my blues
Crazy behind these blues

~Lyric Man

Note: Have you ever thought someone was looking, smiling, or waving at you and then you look, smile, and wave back only to realize that they weren't actually looking, smiling, or waving at you. I have and it can be kind of embarrassing. I wanted to write a tune with that ideals mind, but put it into a romantic setting. This is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy it!

Lyric Man, these days things are so much harder. Loyalty is something you never find and you mainly see girls getting theirs hearts broken by guys but what we don't see are the guys getting their hearts broken by girls and ti know that there are still guys out there who love a girl to pieces and is willing to do anything for them. Well that's extraordinary.

Lyric Man, well crafted ditty of a situation many have been in. I like the way you ran with it, then snapped out, and slapped yourself, in a literary way, then washed up on blues shore. Been there, done that (funny I was reminiscing on the other day, younger years getting pitcher of beer poured over my head by girl of my attentions, who just wasn't having it, bar room brawls with jealous boyfriends or zealous suitors, or thrown out by my scruff by burly bouncer) DRMF

Nice play on the blues and yeah. The funny thing is you get embarrassed but you are probably the only one that noticed. Rejection is awful real or imaginary.

Nicely penned Lyric man. It makes one try to compose music to fit it. I think most good poetry is lyrics that have no melody (yet)

Know the felling Lyric Man, guess we all do. Great work my friend. Best work for a lyricist, is to remind us of how much we truly are just alike. You have a great talent for that...

Cool situational romanticism, Lyric Man. Misty lyrical be this sweet coin beat ... when the meet-a-maid toll leaves your heart empty. I feel the blues vibe on this mighty fine lyric poem. Love and more love always.

Do you compose music for your lyrics? If so, do you perform your pieces?

A very captivating theme, superbly composed my friend. And yes, that has happened to me as well, in my youth. That beautiful girl, her pretty eyes and bright smile, stayed in my mind for many months.... A fav..
