Country Garden

Copper faced nickel Vanilla flavored pickles Cucumbers in the garden Hand picked by Eve Arden And just when the morning dew Settles on the view I walk bare foot in the garden As those caterpillars eat the corn Something bout' to happen Squirrels are also farming At least I can spy Those array of butterflies Must keep on picking Those candy apples Grandma gonna cut them up Cook em and place them on the window they still do farm in, the country garden 10/07/17 written James Edward Lee Sr.
