Could It Be

COULD IT BE? A ruined garden neglected by man Wild growth everywhere sown As though Earth itself might stand alone All creeping crawling standing running the invaders the cunning Hard to envision what Earth might be were it not for creatures crawled out from the sea Those growing mass-producing find Earth their enemy O’er countless millions of years – the loves hates strivings burning fears a constant battle by man the dutiful determined to ruin Earth so beautiful

I do so agree my friend. Man has always seemed to strive to improve on what God had already made perfect. Now we are about to "improve" ourselves into extinction and we are taking everything else with us. Good job here, God Bless, JB

Poetic words to ponder. We have the power to destroy all life on earth...let us hope we have the brains to avoid it! Regards, Robert.

Hey, Daver, I bet you know exactly of the bird of which I wrote! Dreaded albatross, that was a good name for it too, my friend.

I know there has been much destruction of nature by the hands of ignorant man. But i think we are becoming more and more aware of its value and how to treat it respectfully. It is still a very beautiful earth and it will always be I think. But surely we have much more to learn.. Thanks for sharing. Your love of nature comes through loud and clear. Caroline.

People are starved for something beautiful to see. Example. I hear the traffic at Yellowstone is bumper-to-bumper. Think of the fumes. I visited Yellowstone while it was relatively free of mass traffic. Love, daver

Enjoyed reading your work..The thought of what the earth looked like before man fell..It must have been a beautiful place...Now it is beautiful but trapped in a cursed state..I try to garden and briars grow...I did not plant briars..Thanks for stopping by, reading, and commenting on my work..Sara
