My heart aches a little today Should I seek to know why Or be content the reason is Monday It's raining on me Should I feel it Or just put up my hood When Friday comes around Do I fear I won't have the energy Or trust I'll find it My coat has a dog print on from a walk Am I the type who wears a dirty coat Should I be written off Any of these conversations with a friend Wouldn't land me in the gutter I should consider that Plus I bought a cup similar to the gallery one And I planned to drink peppermint tea Like that other version of myself
