Communion Ii
A companion with whom to watch the stars
Except this companion made the stars.
Sometimes we talk,
Sometimes we are silent,
And it is all called beautiful.
Intimacy is required to commune without conversation.
Mine is a needy soul patiently waiting
Thankful for silence,
And rejoicing in understanding,
Which is given so fully to the pure.
