I look at my old body A little decrepit But still functional For that I’m ever so thankful I look at my old body The shape reminds me Of my long gone grand-mother Through the eyes of a kid More to love was glorious More kindness and better hugs How I loved every rotund inch of her I think of her and others gone before me And realize I’ll meet up with them some day And my heart swells in appreciation As I continue to make the most Of every one of my todays I come to terms and My old body looks just fine Published in my 24-page photo/anthology ~ALWAYS WITH ME~ 2020 AP: 1st place 2023, 2nd place 2021 Posted on February 17, 2018

I was thinking about my grandparents, especially the ones who have been long gone and how much I have changed. Same as you, I reside in a grandma’s skin. Wouldn’t trade it for the world ;) Enjoyed and by the way you always seem so young at heart, dear Line! <3 Kim

Ahh the process of aging but they say we are as young as we think and I am going to think young for a long time --i hope--. Can relate to this poem as age slowly creeps up. love phyl
