Comfort Us O! Lord (An Elegy In Rondeau)
Comfort us, O! Lord, as our sorrows soar.
Yes! Caress our hearts to suffer no more
but let us not loose sight in our despair
of Your startling light that awaits us there
on glorious heavens splendid shore.
Your brilliant bright light forever the core,
of Your love, we cherish and dare not ignore.
Our pain, we give to You in reverent prayer.
Comfort us, O! Lord
O! Great Christ open that grand gilded door
with love receive this soul we so adore.
With open arms welcomes our loved one fair,
prepare for them a table of heavens care
and bring us Your peace, we so implore
Comfort us, O! Lord; Comfort us, O! Lord
