In parliaments of war and glory You moved in ways marking life's truth, To seal a vow of destined mission Guiding your path…a brazen, uplifting voice Sparked by this incessant passion which ignited A nation besieged by roars of combat. For you came providently into a world Ripped by shadows of battleground's unrest; As the taste for liberty against a Fuehrer's tyranny Sought brave callings to round the fire, To wrestle, capture, and break this nemesis…until A gathering of storm strode along Barriers of Dunkirk's dilemma, unity among Friendly nations, and decades of unequaled integrity-- Oh, such ultimate victory hailing mankind's spirit ! In modern times' need for a righteous governance, Society whispers your name... another comeback, yet After long moons of patriotism, of unflagging devotion, Heaven’s stars called your name… Finally, resting among divine kings. A very special write (not surprised - you have an eclectic, forgiving and gifted mind) - you allude about truths that escape us always, that in the presence of greatness we seldom see and often do not trust what seems too good to be true - as the British did when they cast him out from the next election when they might otherwise be speaking German now. The savior often comes clad in strange clothes and still - we crucify them.

I'm with you 1,000% here, Nette. Where are the Churchills of today? … And you know, if he hadn't rallied his countrymen to withstand the Nazi blitzkrieg of London for two years (!), it might well have been on to America for Hitler, and my family would have been vaporized in the crematoria. I owe him big time! Thanks for writing this and congrats on your win in the contest. Best wishes, Gershon

Good idea; could you clone him, too? Some of us live in a country that needs a real leader...He certainly fits the requirements. A very pensive piece of poetry you've created. Well done.
