Come On Now

Come on now! You can’t be serious!
Take the Christ out of Christmas….
Not here in the great US of A --
Like taking the cork from the core
of a baseball. Or the sweetened lard
center from between the rich chocolate
cookies. It’s UN-American Macy’s! It’s
sacrilegious, beautiful STD Hollywood
(look but don’t touch). Thinking to do away
with long standing fond tradition, is tantamount
to Spiritual Sedition! For such thought your Act
of Contrition say: An Our Father, eat 3 Oreos, and
12 Hot dogs at the next World Series.

So is Macy's doing this? I love your attitude here. Good poem. The last lines were great humor. I hate how they keep trying to substitute with the phrase Happy Holiday.

Like you say Joe, God is in control. He will not allow evil to win. His power and methods for correcting, throughout history, are apparent. Bible is best source for Love and Truth. Blessings my friend. Hope you are doing well. Email me.

It is sad that people are forgetting their age old traditions. Christmas loses its significance when Christ is removed from Christmas. Greatly admire your satire with a touch of deep humour.

Has been going on for centuries -- without Christ, Christmas is little more than touchy-feel-psychology, which has never worked. Sweet hugs are surface folly without Christ. I am seeing a few more mangers this year for decorations. That is encouraging to me. Blessings my friend. Have a wonderful Christmas!

All over the world, we have deleted Christ from Christmas.

Hi Victor. I hear you. Not in my house. Not in my world. I pray for the world you mention daily. Merry Christmas my friend! Blessings.

Hello Joe, Keep shining a light in dark places with kind words. I have oreos at the ready, and as Luke wrote "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." -Richard

I appreciate your humor intwined with the reality that a great many Americans would undo Christmas and American traditions. To them I say, "Move to another country, please."
