Come Here, My Dear, and Have No Fear
I hear his whisper in the dark of night,
soft murmurs from his tomb nest of eternal rest;
for this dark journey I am possessed and obsessed,
and I have no fear for it seems so right;
oh, not the first time I have been his guest.
Soon, I am lost where dead lay in the rows of gray,
my hair is wispy like soft spider threads;
then, his tomb I see with my bouquet in decay,
even the angels weep and turn their heads;
come here, my dear, oh come this way and till dawn stay,
with love I dwell . . . among the flower beds.
