College Fun Trip
When I was in college, we went on a fun trip
to the state of old churches and beaches,
Most buildings had their paints peeling,
so dilapidated,
The churches were huge, grand old and awe-inspiring,
built to celebrate the relics of saints;
Decaying houses with growing creepers that taints,
I was their long lost beauty admiring,
wondering why they were fated,
though they seemed appealing,
Melancholic state of those houses sure teaches
we must have on possessions a loose grip;
We visited lots of beaches, wet feet drip~drip,
watching sunset on horizon reaches,
listening to sea, calm feeling
left us all elated,
Though walking and playing on beaches felt tiring,
we enjoyed so much we had no complaints.
