Image result for pictures of old homesteads without electricity

Life without electricity Hendering our daily plans Rendering life uncomfortable Not even window fans The birds still sing their song Cars and trucks' tires hit the road People head to work moving along Make their noise not in code Doves that coo and hounds that bay Add some serenity to this day The bucolic scene before me lies A feast for aging eyes at play The pain still nags on and on Wish it would decide to be gone Life possibly will continue some years (or not) Or it could be called home by phone

When there is power failure, it is so miserable. We are so much dependent on elcricity to light the homes and run the modern gadgets without which life would be terrible. Well composed, dear Sara !

I shudder to think that we are without electricity. Malta is too hot these days and we wait for November.

It is hot but as we getter older we can't adjust to the heat nor the cold like we could when we were young. I depend on the AC. Ours went out slowly that is not working very well then dies here in the last couple of weeks and it was over 24 hours before we could get it repaired. I was in a bad shape. Thanks for your visit and personal addition. Sara

I consider the phone blessing. A fan is how I lost my hearing in my left ear. Time has brought what we never expected only to be bettered by Heaven. The resurecter of the dead.

Thank you, John for your personal experiences in life. Yes, we have that hope in Christ Jesus. We just don't know when and how. Thanks for the visit. Sara

An excellent comparison between the traditional and modern ways of living, Sara. And you're right, a life without power would be very brutal. I'd want to thank you for the encouraging words that you left on my page.

Thank you, Sotto. When the power goes out, it so reminds me how much I depend on it. In the summer I depend on the AC. I can't take the heat. Your visits are important to me. Sara

Ah, but it is so dark and peaceful when the power goes off, so how can you miss it? Aloha!

Try living on a Reservation, especially during the winter months when off-Reservation homes drain all the power! Aloha!

Rico, Power off does present some problems. It wasn't long this time though. Thanks for the visit. Sara

Andrea, It would be good to have a good mixture of the two, but sometimes we can't do that. I appreciate the time spent here. Your presence is always encouraging. Sara

Yeah...Life without electricity is ruthless...once as I remember we had a 3 day blackout in my area. And it was really horrible. I cant imagine how dependent we are on electricity, phones and technology! A great write!:)

Komal, I don't like those times here in the south when bad weather wipes out of our electrical power. We were without this morning early, but it was back on within an hour. Thank you for dropping by. Sara
