Clouds

Clouds Sweet as the day is, I look away. My mind goes forward , I look back. Can't see the future only the past, the sun is shining, But I can't see the light. My mind is in disarray. Entrenched ideas stop, Black fog is the spirits blight. Can't keep it away, The past comes to haunt, torment and pursue. Shadows come with no retreat. Relinquish the phantom inside my head, so I might visualize, outward instead. Looking ahead for my solution. Turn the switch and lift the veil. I don't want to see clouds on this sunny day. Love how there is the struggle to see the sun. The moment is well captured in your words.

I can feel the gloom, the sadness in this poem and I hope there are sunny days ahead. If only we could turn a switch on and off and not need a solution. Insightful poem . love phyl

I shant deliver a homily on this one, Anne. At 82 I am constantly reviewing what happened ages ago, blind to all good things present. A good mind bender. daver

Only love can break a heart. And make the sunshine rain. It's sad when someone has to part. And cause us so much pain. But God is there right from the start. And he'll be there once again. The first line is from that song by Gene Pitny. May you find a way to love the clouds and let them ease your mind. So that your heart will know the love you lost is there for you to find.
