Closed Hearts

Daylight with a mirage of night So we use our hearts as a light Do we really need our eyes At this moment at this night For all we see is nothing but dark slight Why don’t we use them on daylight Do we close our eyes against the sun Because the things we’ve become are too bright And overwhelming for our eyesight Oh, do we only open our eyes at the board darkness Just to end up seeing nothingness Let’s not close or open Our eyes but our, Hearts.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed. (Please check definition of Diminished Hexaverse as a type of poetry.)
