The earth is unbelievably remote
from the rest of the known universe.
The nearest star to our sun
is an immense number of light years away.
We have no sentient neighbors.
The earth is unbelievably distant
from its own medium-sized lonely galaxy.
Earth is the farthest flung outpost
of time and light.
Earth rides the verge, the outer rim,
the leading edge
of the utter void -
however,
God (the Center),
will still be no further away
tomorrow as He is today.
He has promised:
"I am as near to you as your own pulse,
just as I was
in the Beginning".
