Climb
Climb
Dreams and ambition are hard at work
Pushing out a best foot ahead
Grief is worth all of life’s perks
The climb is over: a day I dread
To live like a king for the rest of my days
Or take on challenges with anticipation
Having it all served on silver; yes, some may
But spoiling character is the devil’s temptation
A golden day in the sun is just an instance
The clouds illuminate these memories so bright
Slammed with reality with the utmost resistance
Gratitude makes it all worth the fight
